I've learnt that in society, 1+1 is not equal to 2. We're so used to our parents or teacher saying "If u study hard, u'll earn lots of money" etc. The education system had moulded us into the believe that the world runs in a logical sense.
In actual fact, 1 + 1 is never equal to 2. Sometimes it's 0.5, 0.01, 2.5 or even 3. There's no fixed answer, depends on many factors. Of cos, hard work is one factor. Only one of the many factors...
