Since young, we're made to believe that the rich are bad, stingy, evil etc and there's nothing wrong being poor, being pitiful. And perhaps that is why we r programmed to be poor, cos we dun wan to be what we dun like.
For example in the story of Robin hood, who rob the rich and give it to the poor. The story portrays the rich as evil and the poor are the good guys. Robbin Hood is a hero in the story, but however, in today's context, Robin Hood is nothing but a robber.
In Cinderella- Cinderella is a poor girl who is constantly bullied by her step mother and step sisters. It portrays the impression that all stepmothers and stepsisters r evil. And also portrays that we must be as pitiful as possible, so that one day fairy godmother will appear and u'll meet ur prince charming.
Even in shows, generally, the one who help the poor is the hero. The one that help to rich is the bad guy.
The road less travelledIt's always so tedious to travel along the road that is seldom touched by other people. As for me, I took the road that not many people took. I left the so called job security in search of financial security. Sometimes it's very taxing as one by one, my frens left the "league". One more left to join the workforce.
It really needs a lot of strength and stamina to carry on this journey. And a lot of faith too, especially when u see people who tried and failed. And especially when people try to put u off.
I just need the strength to carry on.
Everyone wants to go to heaven, but no one wants to die. Everyone wants to get rich, but no one wants to take the risk and venture out of their comfort zone. If u always do the same thing, u'll always get the same results.
